Everyone who has a brother or a sister knows how strong family bond is. If you have a brother or a sister, then you surely have a best friend for life. This next wise story is for everyone lucky enough not to be an only child. Never forget that there is no other love like the love for a sibling. Cherish these relationships, and do not let things like money, properties, and insignificant fights destroy them.

Once upon a time, two brothers worked together on the family farm. One was married and had many children. The other was alone. The two brothers shared everything equally – the profits and fruits of their joint labor.

One day the brother who lived alone said to himself:

“It’s not fair to divide everything equally. I’m single, and there is not so much that I need.”

So, every night, he took a sack of flour from his own pile, and, sneaking through the field between their homes, he threw it at his brother’s pile.

At the same  time, the one who had a family thought to himself:

“It is not fair to divide everything equally. After all, I have a family; I have a wife and children who will look after me when I am old.”

That’s why, every night, he took a bag of grain and threw it at his brother’s pile.

Each year, the two brothers wondered why their grain reserves were not diminishing. And then, one night, the two brothers collided with each other. That’s how they found out what they had been doing for so long. They dropped their bags and hugged each other.
